Oakfield Park in Donegal Re-Opens for the Season

Discover Oakfield Park in Donegal

If you’re making a break for it in Ireland this summer, then Donegal is a wonderful place to escape with family and friends, with a vast and rugged landscape that’s perfectly suited to social distancing. One of the county’s best-loved outdoor attractions, Oakfield Park in Raphoe, has everything you need to plan the perfect outdoor adventure.

David Fisher, Estate Manager at Oakfield Park is looking forward to a busy season: “We’re so excited to welcome everyone back this summer. The health and safety of our visitors and team remain paramount, so the safeguards that protected everyone last summer are still in place. Extra outdoor covered seating has been added to allow for more alfresco dining. We also developed a new app to help visitors navigate the grounds; there’s no better way to spend a day outdoors in Donegal than in our green and gorgeous gardens, taking a trip on the train, exploring the hedge-maze, visiting the Fairy Tree, and meeting our sleeping land giant, Morholt.”

The park’s restaurant Buffers is open every day that the park is open and offers a takeaway menu created with produce from the park’s gardens. For April, May and September, Oakfield Park is open Wednesday to Sunday, from 12 pm – 6 pm and open every day in June, July and August. Visit www.oakfieldpark.com or call +353 (0) 74 91 73922.
