Our visit to Voltereta Tanzania Restaurant in Alicante

The details often define an exceptional dining experience—and our recent evening at Voltereta Tanzania delivered on every level.

From the moment we stepped through the doors, it was clear that this was no ordinary restaurant. The safari-inspired concept is nothing short of extraordinary, with every element of the interior thoughtfully curated to transport guests into another world. It is immersive, atmospheric, and quite simply, visually stunning.

Our culinary journey began with a selection of shared starters, including the Teriyaki duck croquettes and the Montecristo—both of which set an exceptional tone for the evening. Each dish was beautifully balanced, rich in flavour, and expertly presented. A particular highlight was the shared bread with black garlic, which proved to be a standout—simple in concept, yet unforgettable in execution.

For mains, the table enjoyed a wonderful mix of dishes. The white truffle ravioli with pecan nuts was refined and indulgent, while the Maasai ribs, chosen by three of us, were nothing short of superb—tender, flavourful, and perfectly cooked.

Dessert continued the experience at the same high standard. The Japanese fruit salad offered a refreshing and elegant finish, while the lotus cake was, quite simply, irresistible—rich, indulgent, and beautifully crafted.

What truly sets Voltereta Tanzania apart, however, is its ability to combine such a high level of creativity, quality, and atmosphere with pricing that remains accessible. It is a rare balance and one that makes this a destination suitable for a wide audience.

A remarkable evening, and one we will most certainly revisit.
