Go Wild Magazine has a chat with Katharine Keane Founder My IrelandBox.com

Dia dhuit!

I’m Katharine Keane, founder of MyIrelandBox.com! I live in Dingle, Co. Kerry, Ireland and in 2013, I began to send MyIrelandBoxes full of Irish-made surprises to people that loved Ireland.

It all began when I was expecting my first child, and I was working as a lawyer here in Dingle town. At the weekends, I met many people from the USA and Canada that were on vacation and who expressed how much they would miss Ireland when they returned home.

It occurred to me that it would be lovely to bring Ireland to them, and to others. I began to send to everyone that wanted one, a MyIrelandBox full of Irish-made surprisesbooks that transport the reader to Ireland, Celtic jewellery, beautiful and useful Irish hand-made homewares made by our most talented craftspeople, tasty Irish-made treatsGaelic phrases to spread the joy of our language and so much more.

Every month is based on a different theme: Grá (Love), St Patrick’s DayIrish Sheep, The Irish Cottage, Thanksgiving in the Irish Castle (November), An Irish Christmas (December).

I enclose a booklet that I write, all about Ireland during that particular month, our ancient traditions, nature, recipes, a meeting with the makers that we support, and, I bring the reader on a walk to somewhere special!

I love Ireland, our culture and traditions. It has become my happy mission to share it. We bring joy to doorsteps in the USA and Canada and in turn, our members send joy back to us with their complimentary emails, Facebook Group comments and reviews.
We would love for you to join us, and the MyIrelandBox community, to experience Ireland at your doorstep coming up to Christmas.

Grá mór from Dingle, Ireland

Katharine
