US influencers highlight Ireland to their 836,000 followers

Tourism Ireland in the United States is continuing its collaboration with Steller – travel storytelling app and creator community – this autumn, inviting a small group of popular American influencers and digital creators to visit Ireland.

The influencers – who have a combined audience of around 836,000 followers – have been capturing lots of great content here and then sharing it with their followers, to inspire them to choose Ireland for their next vacation.

Their programme was designed by Fáilte Ireland and included Cashel, where they enjoyed a guided tour of the Rock of Cashel and lunch in Mikey Ryan’s.

Alison Metcalfe, Tourism Ireland’s Head of North America, said: We know that travellers are increasingly using social media and mobile devices for inspirational travel content and ideas, so we were delighted to welcome this group of popular US influencers to Ireland. They’re gathering and generating wonderful new content about Cashel and Ireland and then sharing it with their followers – encouraging them, in turn, to put Ireland on their vacation ‘wish list’ for 2024.

“The United States remains an extremely important market for tourism to the island of Ireland. In 2019, we welcomed 1.7 million American visitors, whose visits delivered €1.6 billion for the economy.”
