New Luxury Glamping Resort West Cork

The property has a large focus on interior design and blurs the boundaries between luxury hotels and glamping resorts.
We have a strong focus on community and hope to bring tourism to the Mealagh Valley to support and enhance our vibrant small community here. We are employing staff and using service providers from the immediate Valley area.
We are eco-inspired and have chosen Spa facilities that do not impact on the natural environment.
We have 6 luxury one-bedroom cabins each with its own private outdoor bath and uninterrupted sweeping views of Bantry Bay, a communal Sauna and a cold water therapy suite, plus we offer in-house Massage and Facial services too.
We are also an adult-only location and pet-friendly!
A little Background history
John was born in the Mealagh Valley and lived there until he moved to the UK in 1995, where he met Amy in an Irish pub in Manchester. In 1997 the couple moved to Australia where they lived for 17 years, raised a family and built their respective careers in Mining and Small Business. In 2014 they made the move back to the Mealagh Valley with their two children (then teenagers) to be closer to their families. In 2020 in the middle of the Pandemic they realised how privileged they were to be living in such a peaceful rural community surrounded by an amazing landscape and decided to share that experience with others through the concept of an Eco Spa resort. And thus, Wild Hideaways was born. Amy brings her experience in Business and Events management, and John brings the craic and the muscle to make a dream team in the running of the resort.
