Tourism event in House of Commons to celebrate St Patrick’s Day 2024

13th March 2024 – Tourism Ireland co-sponsored a special reception in the House of Commons in London today – as part of an extensive programme of St Patrick’s 2024 promotional activity in Great Britain and elsewhere around the world. The event, celebrating British-Irish relations, was attended by members of the House of Commons and House of Lords, as well as leaders of the Irish community living in London and influential British travel trade and media contacts.

St Patrick’s Day offers a unique opportunity for Ireland and Irish tourism. Tourism Ireland is rolling out an extensive programme of trade, media and consumer activity to capitalise on Ireland’s heightened profile this week. The organisation’s ‘Fill your heart with Ireland’ campaign, featuring Derry Girls and Sharon Horgan, is live across media this spring, with a goal of driving consideration of Ireland as a destination to visit. In addition, Tourism Ireland has a new St Patrick’s Day short video to mark the moment with audiences across Great Britain, the United States, Germany and France, as well as broader social media audiences around the world.
