One of France’s leading tour operators, Kuoni, and nine of its top-producing travel agents, have been exploring Ireland, as guests of Tourism Ireland and Fáilte Ireland.
The travel agents’ fact-finding visit aims to familiarise them with Ireland and our superb tourism offering, so that when they return home, they will be better informed and more enthusiastic than ever when advising their clients about planning and booking their holidays here.
The group’s action-packed itinerary began in Dublin and included EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum, The Book of Kells Experience, Christ Church Cathedral, Dublinia and Guinness Storehouse. In Offaly, the agents visited Clonmacnoise before heading to Galway to explore Kylemore Abbey and Ceardlann An Spidéal – Spiddal Craft Village & Café. In Clare, the group met with Shane Connolly from Burren Hill Walks before heading to the Cliffs of Moher and Bunratty Castle & Folk Park. Birr Castle Demesne and Tullamore D.E.W. Distillery Experience completed their busy programme.
Ana Luis, Tourism Ireland’s Trade Partnership Manager for France, said: “There really is no substitute for being able to come here and experience what Ireland has to offer at first-hand, therefore we were delighted to invite this group of expert French travel professionals to visit. Our aim is that when they return home, they will be even more enthusiastic about the destination, helping to secure a greater share of their business for Ireland in 2026 and beyond.
“France is an important market for tourism to Ireland, and fact-finding visits like this are a key element of the work Tourism Ireland undertakes with our valued travel trade partners.”
