Stylish new hotel in the heart of Cork city is now taking bookings for Christmas

The stunning new hotel is the ideal city-break stay

A new hotel opening at the end of the year in Cork’s city centre is already taking bookings for Christmas.

The Dean Cork will bring yet a much-needed boost to the city’s hospitality sector when it opens later in the year.

Collete Walsh, head of sales at The Dean Cork has confirmed that they will open in November 2020 and that bookings can be made for December onward.

The impressive-looking 109 bedroom hotel is part of Horgan’s Quay rejuvenation project which will give the city centre a new lease of life.

The hotel features a rooftop bar and restaurant, a dedicated events space, a DIME Coffee hatch and lobby area, and a boutique gym.

Run by Ireland’s largest pub and restaurant group Press Up, the hotel comes six years after the €5.5m build of The Dean Dublin on Harcourt Street, where rooms start at just over €100 a night.

The four-star hotel located right beside Copperface Jacks is only half the size of Cork’s at 52 bedrooms but boasts quirky little touches like miniature Smeg fridges and Marshall amps, old-school sweets, and little brown envelopes for room keys.

Press Up also own the Workman’s Club on the south quays of Dublin, and the Stella cinema in Rathmines, and recently announced plans to bring it’s Wowburger and Elephant and Castle restaurant brands in Britain.

The Dean Cork will form part of the exciting Horgan’s Quay rejuvenation project, which will see a new urban quarter developed in the heart of Cork City whilst showcasing and protecting the industrial heritage of the unique site.
