This year, Malahide Castle and Gardens are pulling out all the stops to create a unique festive event for all the family in the historic north Dublin location.
Christmas at Malahide Castle is always special at one of Ireland’s most iconic castles, and this year’s offering, inspired by ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, will not disappoint. Step back in time to a Victorian, old-fashioned Christmas. Experience the wonderment and joy of a bygone era through stories of Christmas past, listen to festive carols and embrace the magic of Christmas at the castle.
Rooms will be dressed for the occasion, with a special guest in each room. Little ones will be met by Mrs Claus before meeting Santa himself and getting a special treat in the Elves workshop. Families can hop on TOOTS, the express train that will shuttle them back to the visitor centre where they will enjoy a complimentary hot chocolate at the Avoca hatch.
Speaking about this year’s festive offerings, Pauline Matijasevich, Marketing and Communications Manager at Malahide Castle and Gardens said:
“Our Christmas event at Malahide Castle is all about the kids – they are the stars of the show! We wanted to revisit innocence, wonderment, and joy, and the excitement that children bring, the excitement that is seriously contagious – that’s where the magic happens.
‘When we recall Christmas past, it is the simplest of things that give off the glow of happiness. We wanted to create family experiences that will make memories, bringing Christmas back to its essence – a season of joy and family time. ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas us back in time to a magical era and our special guests will keep little ones in awe”.
Christmas at Malahide Castle runs from 26th Nov until Dec 23rd and tickets are €22 for adults, €12 for kids and €8 for babies available from malahidecastleandgardens.ie and on the booking page.
