Fáilte Ireland, the National Tourism Development Authority, has been awarded the prestigious Destination Organisation Award for Global Impact by Destinations International (DI) at this year’s Destinations International Annual Convention in Chicago.
Destinations International (DI), is the world’s largest membership organisation for destination marketing organisations (DMOs), convention and visitor bureaus (CVBs) and tourism boards. With 784 destination members from 37 countries and territories, the association represents a powerful, forward-thinking and collaborative global community. Their annual awards honour outstanding individuals and organisations that have made a profound impact on the travel and tourism industry.
The Global Impact award recognises destination organisations that have developed scalable, innovative solutions with significant global impact for the destination community across the globe. Fáilte Ireland was selected for its pioneering work in sustainable tourism development, digital innovation, and its leadership in shaping a resilient and future-focused visitor economy.
