EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum will once again be an official hub of the St Patrick’s Festival, welcoming visitors from 14th – 17th March with a lively programme of performances, tours and family-friendly activities inside the museum and throughout the Chq Building.
Running across the festival weekend, the programme celebrates Irish culture through live music, storytelling and interactive experiences that complement the museum’s exploration of the global Irish story.
Live Music and Performances
Visitors exploring the museum during the festival weekend can encounter a series of pop-up performances throughout the galleries.
People visiting the museum can once again partake in the ultimate crisp challenge – Tayto vs Keogh’s.
Among the performance highlights is Sweet Jayne, bringing energetic live music performances to EPIC across the weekend. Traditional music will also feature strongly with Dee Armstrong of Kíla, performing alongside friends and collaborators.

Storytelling will be provided by Moth & Butterfly, whose engaging sessions bring Irish folklore and imagination to life for visitors of all ages.
Last year’s visitors will be delighted to hear that St Pat and Snakey McSnakeface will return to the museum once again. The playful performance introduces visitors to the legend of St Patrick in a fun and accessible way and has become a popular part of EPIC’s festival programme.
All performances take place within the museum at various times throughout the day and are included with general admission.
Special Festival Tours
Throughout the festival weekend, EPIC will also host the Cúpla Focal Tour, a special guided experience celebrating the Irish language.
Led by an EPIC guide, the tour invites visitors to explore the stories of the Irish diaspora while learning a few simple Irish phrases along the way. The tour blends Gaeilge with EPIC’s interactive exhibits, connecting visitors with Irish culture, identity and history during the national celebration.

The tour runs daily during the festival period, offering visitors an engaging way to experience the museum while picking up a “cúpla focal”.
A Festival Experience in the Docklands
As part of Dublin’s city-wide St Patrick’s Festival, EPIC provides a welcoming indoor venue where visitors can enjoy culture, storytelling and music alongside the museum’s award-winning exhibitions.
Located in the historic vaults of the Chq Building on Custom House Quay, EPIC tells the story of Irish emigration through immersive, interactive galleries that explore how Irish people have shaped the world across centuries.
During the festival weekend, the museum becomes a hub of activity in the Docklands, combining the EPIC experience with live entertainment and cultural programming.
Whether visiting for the first time or returning to explore more of Ireland’s global story, EPIC offers a unique way to celebrate St Patrick’s Festival in Dublin.
