Stella Maris Shore House, a historic gem nestled on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean in Ballycastle,Co.Mayo, proudly reopens its doors under the new management of Rolf Siegrist. This iconic establishment, with its rich history dating back to the mid-1800s, has undergone a meticulous rejuvenation to provide guests with a unique and unforgettable experience.
Under the guidance of Rolf Siegrist, a passionate entrepreneur from Switzerland, the house has been carefully preserved to retain its historical significance while embracing modern comforts. Stella Maris Shore House boasts 10 charming bedrooms, a conservatory retreat with a cozy seating arrangement that sets the stage for contemplation, engaging reads, and inspiring conversations.

It also boasts a lounge, offering carefully selected beverages from around. One of the many standout features of this property is however its breathtaking surroundings.

Set against the stunning backdrop of the Irish coast, guests can immerse themselves in the natural beauty that the West coast of Ireland has to offer. The tranquil ambiance, coupled with the warm hospitality of the staff, ensures an unforgettable stay for every visitor.
Rolf Siegrist, the visionary behind this fantastic project, expressed his excitement, saying,  such a lovely house and a stunning surrounding.

I want to bring this hotel back on track again. It has always been a dream of mine to run a hotel and take care of guests from all over the world and I am so excited for what the future has instore.
The history of Stella Maris Shore House is deeply ingrained in the fabric of Ireland. Built as a Coast Guard Headquarters by the British in the mid-1800s, the building later became a convent before transforming into a small country hotel in the 1960s. The rich history is complemented by the mesmerising views of the Atlantic Ocean, making Stella Maris a landmark in rural County Mayo.
