Tourism Ireland welcomes new Aer Lingus services from Cleveland, Ohio

29 September 2022 – Tourism Ireland warmly welcomes the announcement of the new Aer Lingus service from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport to Dublin. The four times weekly service will commence in May 2023 and will certainly help boost tourism business from the all-important United States market to the island of Ireland.

Niall Gibbons, Chief Executive of Tourism Ireland, said: We look forward to working closely with Aer Lingus, to maximise the promotion of this new service from Cleveland. As an island, direct, convenient and competitive access services are critical to restoring growth in inbound tourism. Tourism Ireland is committed to working with Aer Lingus, Dublin Airport and other tourism interests to drive demand for this new service, and all other services to the island of Ireland, and help maintain our vital network of routes and services.

“The United States remains an extremely important market for tourism to the island of Ireland. In 2019, we welcomed 1.7 million American visitors, whose visits delivered €1.6 billion for the economy.”
