Tourism Ireland wins ‘Best Tourist Board’ award in Canada

Tourism Ireland has scooped a major travel award in Canada – ‘Best Tourist Board UK / Europe / Middle East / Africa’ – at the TravelPulse Canada Readers’ Choice Awards. The award was presented to Tourism Ireland in downtown Toronto recently, at the 4th annual Readers’ Choice Awards, now a major event in the travel industry calendar in Canada.

Tourism Ireland took the number one spot in the ‘Best Tourist Board UK / Europe / Middle East / Africa’ category, coming in ahead of competitor tourist boards, including Great Britain, Portugal, France, Germany, Switzerland and Spain.

TravelPulse Canada is a key resource for travel industry professionals and thousands of travel advisors across Canada placed their votes to recognise the outstanding achievements of people and organisations working in the travel trade in Canada.

Welcoming news of the award, Sandra Moffatt, Tourism Ireland’s Manager Canada, said: TravelPulse Canada is a key resource for our travel trade partners here in Canada, so we are delighted to have been recognised as the number one tourism board in our category, as voted by their readers! I would like to take this opportunity to thank our travel trade partners – who continue to play a very important role in helping us to highlight the island of Ireland and to rebuild Canadian visitor numbers. We are grateful for their ongoing support and we look forward to our continued work together in welcoming Canadians to the island of Ireland in 2023 and beyond.’’
