Wildlands, the family adventure park located in Moycullen on the outskirts of Galway this week announces a series of new plans for 2024, which will enable the park to provide a unique and unforgettable experience for visitors of all ages! With over 20 acres of mature woodland overlooking Ballyquirke Lough, Wildlands offers a perfect mix of nature, adventure, and luxury. From outdoor activities to cosy wooden cabins, it has everything needed for a fun-filled family experience!
Wildlands encourages visitors to experience the thrill of soaring above the treetops with the new addition of Net Adventure Courses – Net Adventure (4 years to adult) and Net Adventure Junior (walker to 4 years old). Whether it’s navigating slides and tunnels, engaging in friendly competition in the Ball Games Zone, or experiencing the adrenaline rush of the Giant Swing, this new activity offers an immersive experience of high-flying excitement for all ages.
After a brief hiatus due to construction, Wildlands is also thrilled to announce the return of Kayaking and Stand-Up Paddle Boarding in 2024. Offering scenic tours through the majestic lakes of Moycullen, visitors are invited to rediscover the woodlands, reedbeds and local wildlife along the way such as birds, otters, mink, stoat, frogs, bats and more!
Additionally, the open-plan cabins have a complete rustic feel with antique details, exposed rafts, and outdoor decking – perfect for the family to enjoy long summer nights during the holiday season. The cabin interiors mirror the natural landscape, using muted colours like sage green and ochre, creating a cosy and comfortable retreat for guests to enjoy.
Lucy Kennedy, TV and Radio Presenter recently visited the resort with her family and said “Our family recently spent two amazing days and nights in Wildlands and had the most wonderful experience with memories made that will last a lifetime. It’s a special place run by a special team, and we can’t wait to head back to ‘our’ gorgeous log cabin”.
Guests are also invited to start the day right and fuel the body for a day full of activities at the award-winning Olive Tree Kitchen Restaurant, as it expands its offerings with an exciting new breakfast menu to enjoy. Visitors can savour a variety of options, from hearty cooked breakfasts to a tasty pancake and waffle menu. There will also be a new Outdoor Food Hatch and Retail Store set to open for the summer months.
