Ferrycarrig, Co. Wexford — Paracyclist Linda Kelly, winner of a gold and a silver medal in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games as a sighted pilot for Katie-George Dunlevy, visited the Irish National Heritage Park this week. Linda took a break from cycling to try out axe throwing at The Range – the Irish National Heritage Park’s newest activity zone, which offers archery, spear throwing and axe throwing to those aged 12 and over.

Under the guidance of instructor and guide Luke, Linda got the basics quickly and let fly a volley of the historic weapons at the targets from the safety of the cages at the range.  Linda commented that she “really enjoyed the experience” – a fun change from her cycling training.
