Discover the Irish Whiskey Museum during your staycation

The Irish Whiskey Museum opened the doors to the public in 2014 and quickly became one of Ireland’s leading visitor attractions. It was the brainchild of the EI Travel Group and Keith McDonnell who understood that there was no independent attraction narrating the true story of Irish whiskey and how the industry has evolved through the centuries.

It is centrally located with a prime site opposite the front gate of Trinity College. The tour lasts approximately 45 minutes with a tasting of three different styled Irish whiskies at the end. If you choose the VIP upgrade option you will also get an aged Irish whiskey. There is McDonnell’s bar on the first floor which is open to the public and most visitors will enjoy a tipple before or after the tour. The museum provides entertaining, informative guides and the mix of people, reconstructions, whiskey memorabilia and videos will keep your interest alive for the duration of your stay and leave you with wanting to know more.
