Tourism Ireland showcased the island of Ireland’s world-class golf at an event called ‘Night of Luxury’ – organised by Invited (formerly ClubCorp) – which took place recently at the Stonebriar Country Club in Dallas, Texas. The theme of the event was ‘Taste and Travel the World’.

This year, Tourism Ireland is partnering with Invited – which owns and operates over 200 country clubs, golf clubs, city clubs and stadium clubs throughout the United States and Mexico. With around 400,000 affluent customers in the Invited network, the new partnership is another important opportunity to highlight the island of Ireland in the all-important US market. As well as live events, activity with Invited will include digital promotions.

Highlighting our golf is a major focus for Tourism Ireland in the United States and in other important golf markets around the world. Key messages include the return of The Open to Royal Portrush in 2025 and the Ryder Cup taking place at Adare Manor in 2027.

Alison Metcalfe, Tourism Ireland’s Head of North America, said: “Tourism Ireland was delighted to attend Invited’s ‘Night of Luxury’ event in Dallas. With over 300 Invited members in attendance, the event was an excellent opportunity to highlight the fact that the island of Ireland offers some of the very best golf in the world and has something for everyone, from beginner to pro.”

As part of the partnership with Invited, Tourism Ireland – together with industry partners from the island of Ireland – will also attend the Championships Classic Annual Pro-Am Tournament, in November.

The United States remains an extremely important market for tourism to the island of Ireland. In 2019, we welcomed 1.7 million American visitors, whose visits delivered €1.6 billion for the economy.
