EcoTrail Wicklow offers the option of five distances suitable for all skill levels (10k, 19k, 30k, 47k or 80k), following trails that run through some of Wicklow’s most scenic locations including Bray Seafront, Bray Head, Killruddery, the Great Sugarloaf, Powerscourt Waterfall, Djouce and the Wicklow Way, Lough Tay and Roundwood Reservoir.

Speaking on the growth of Trail running in Ireland Fred Verdier, Tourism Officer with Wicklow County Council said: “Trail Running is one of fastest growing sports in the world attracting runners with the love of the outdoors.  For example, in the US alone, the sport jumped from 13.2 million participants in 2022 to 14.8 million in 2023, and there are more than 1000 trail running races organised in France each year.  With its mild weather and stunning landscape, Wicklow and Ireland have become an ideal year round trail running destination. EcoTrail Wicklow is helping showcase that fantastic destination.”
