Families are invited to wander our spooky but not scary, fully accessible outdoor trail. Enjoy spine-tingling surprises, eerie decorations, costumed characters, fantastic photo opportunities, and plenty of fun along the way. The 1km route has been specially designed for young children but promises enjoyment for visitors of all ages.

Brought to you by the team at Follow Fox Events creators of Wonderlights and The Christmas Experience. The Haunted Trail promises a ghoulishly good time for the whole family.

Irish author Bram Stoker needs your help!

His famous character Dracula, a notorious vampire, has somehow escaped from his book in our Storytelling Gallery and into the vaults of EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum. Can you and your family help track him down and spell him back from whence he came?

Highlights

  • Themed tour includes a walkthrough of EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum.
  • Working with our guide, you and your family will locate clues hidden in our galleries to Dracula’s whereabouts.
  • Discover more about Bram Stoker’s life and the famous novel Dracula that shaped how the world imagines vampires today.
  • Stop off for a Storytelling session, where Bram will bring to life some tales of creatures from Irish history and folklore that may have inspired Bram’s creation.
  • Work together to create your very own vampire myth, suitable for the Ireland of today!

Prices

Adult: €23.00
Child: €15.00

This tour is suitable for families with children aged 6 – 12 years.

Prices above include entry to museum, so families can explore the museum after the storytelling event.

The tour is led by a guide who plays the role of Bram Stoker and involves an activity hunt to find objects hidden in the museum, a storytelling session and two interactive activities, one a spell casting and one an imagination game to come up with a new vampire story. Dress up in your scariest Dracula or Halloween-themed outfit to complete the theme!

Púca Festival

This is running from 28-31 October and there are a series of events and things going on surrounding these great three days of fun. There is everything from musicians, fire shows, Halloween-themed bingo, markets and much more. This takes place in both Trim and Athboy and some featured artists that will be performing across the festival are Gavin James, The Academic, The High King and Imelda May. A lot of these are ticketed events so make sure to get tickets. Other activities going on over are:

Toners Pub: A Haunted Dublin Institution

A must-visit on any Halloween night is Toners Pub, one of the oldest and most beloved pubs in Dublin. With a history dating back to 1818, this legendary establishment is rumoured to have its own ghostly resident!
