Seven outdoor adventure tourism companies from Ireland are joining Tourism Ireland at the Adventure Travel World Summit (ATWS) in Lugano, Switzerland, this week.

ATWS is a major global event for adventure travel professionals. More than 750 delegates from around the world are expected to attend – from every sector of the adventure travel industry, including tour operators, as well as adventure travel writers and influencers.

The four-day event – the first in-person ATWS since 2019 – is a wonderful platform to showcase Ireland’s superb outdoor and adventure tourism offering. It provides a valuable opportunity for the participating Irish companies to promote their products to the influential adventure travel decision-makers in attendance, as well as to advance their knowledge of adventure travel trends.

Louise Finnegan, Tourism Ireland’s Head of Business Partnership, said: “Tourism Ireland is delighted to attend ATWS this year – to highlight our land and water-based outdoor activities like hiking, cycling and kayaking, as well as our superb outdoor experiences and attractions. It provides a valuable platform for our partners from Ireland to showcase their product and connect with leading adventure travel professionals from across the globe.”
