Eight luxury travel advisors from the United States have been visiting Ireland this week, as guests of Tourism Ireland, Tourism NI and Fáilte Ireland. Their programme was designed in partnership with Ireland Chauffeur Travel.
The aim of the visit is to familiarise the travel advisors with our superb luxury tourism offering, so that when they return home, they will be better informed and more enthusiastic than ever about Ireland when advising their clients about planning and booking their next luxury holiday.

Alison Metcalfe, Tourism Ireland’s Head of North America, said: “Tourism Ireland was delighted to invite this group of specialist luxury travel advisors from the US to visit Ireland, to experience at first-hand some of our luxury tourism offering, including our boutique hotels and high-end resorts. Seeing is believing and our aim is that when they return home, they will be even more enthusiastic about the destination, helping to secure a greater share of their business for Ireland.”
During their time here, the US buyers are carrying out site inspections at some of our top luxury hotels, including the Culloden Estate & Spa, Lough Eske Castle, Glenlo Abbey Hotel & Estate, Dromoland Castle, Adare Manor, Cashel Palace Hotel and The Merrion Hotel.
Their action-packed itinerary also included a Belfast food tour with Taste & Tour, Titanic Belfast, a sheepdog demonstration at Glenshane Country Farm, a ‘paint and graze’ experience at Ballyness Resort and Hanna Hats of Donegal. They enjoyed an Overland Experience with Orangeworks, which included an oyster shucking and seaweed foraging demonstration with the Burren Smokehouse, as well as a private island experience with Sionnan Luxury Cruises, falconry at Adare Manor, Coolmore Stud, as well as some retail therapy at Kildare Village.
