Much-loved South Dublin gastropub, Brickyard, is thrilled to announce its upcoming ‘Cinco de Mayo’ Brunch event, taking place on May 4th and 5th. Cinco de Mayo is an annual celebration of Mexican culture and heritage and is celebrated specifically on May 5th worldwide. The date May 5th (known as Cinco de Mayo in Mexico), celebrates Mexico’s victory over the French Empire in the Battle of Puebla in 1862, and today there is essentially a big annual bash to celebrate.

This Cinco de Mayo day, embrace the vibrant spirit of Mexico at Brickyard with a special weekend brunch featuring an array of mouthwatering Mexican cuisine and Mexican drink specials that are sure to set your taste buds alight.

Celebrate a Latin culinary journey with delicious dishes such as tacos, tostadas, elotes, and more, crafted by Brickyard’s talented chefs. Brickyard has always shared their love for the world famous Mexican cuisine, co-owner Erwin Pollard shares his enthusiasm, stating, “We love Mexican food here at Brickyard, and have always had at least one Mexican dish on our menu since the day we opened. It’s exciting food, always full of flavour.”

But the celebration doesn’t stop there. No Cinco de Mayo celebration would be complete without a selection of Mexico’s finest beverage concoctions. Savour a full list of Tequilas, Margaritas, Mexican Mimosas, Mexican Beers, and other traditional Mexican drinks. Plus, don’t miss the opportunity to taste Rye River, an Irish craft beer’s seasonal small batch sour beer, Pinata Party, crafted in collaboration with Mexican brewery Morenos.

Highlighting the menu is Brickyard’s signature beef barbacoa tacos, made by braising beef brisket and chuck overnight in a blend of dried Mexican chilies, herbs, and spices, served with homemade salsa Roja on Blanco Nino tortillas.
