Ten tourism companies from Ireland have joined Tourism Ireland in Düsseldorf and Munich this week, promoting Ireland as a premier destination for Business Events to top German travel buyers.
The two-city roadshow involves a programme of bespoke one-to-one appointments and networking sessions. It offers an excellent opportunity for the participating tourism businesses from Ireland to meet, and do business with, 25 top-producing business travel buyers from Germany – ensuring Ireland is ‘top of mind’ for them when recommending destinations to their clients. An estimated 550 commercial meetings are taking place over the two days.
Nadine Lehmann, Tourism Ireland’s Manager for Germany, said: “We are delighted that ten tourism partners from Ireland are joining us in Düsseldorf and Munich this week to promote Ireland as a premier destination for Business Events. Business travel is high value and often midweek and off-season by its nature, thereby aligning with Tourism Ireland’s strategy to grow overseas tourism revenue outside of the peak summer season.
“Our message is that Ireland offers a winning combination of world-class infrastructure, unique and luxurious accommodation, state-of-the-art venues, spectacular landscapes, the warmest of welcomes and fantastic hospitality, making it an ideal destination for corporate meetings, incentive travel and events of all sizes.”
