This is no ordinary trip to EPIC! Over the St. Patrick’s Day long weekend, we’re celebrating with singing, crochet-making, and even crisp tasting within the museum. Think you can tell your Tayto from your Keogh’s? Put your taste buds to the challenge and top it off with a refreshing red lemonade – a true Irish classic! Join us in the Eating and Drinking Gallery, daily from 11 am to 4 pm, free with your EPIC ticket.

Ar Ais Arís: VR Experience

Immerse yourself in Irish-language literature like never before with Brú Theatre’s Ar Ais Arís. This groundbreaking VR experience blends poetry, movement, and music, transporting audiences into stunning 180° immersive films. Step into the breathtaking landscapes of Connemara and explore the themes of migration and home in a truly unique way. A must-see event as part of this year’s St. Patrick’s Festival. Free to attend, but booking is essential.

 

Anam: A Captivating Art Installation

Step into a space where tradition and craftsmanship meet reflection with Peter Sheehan Studio’s Anam. This thought-provoking installation explores our evolving relationship with the land and the objects that once held deep meaning. Featuring handcrafted sugan chairs, Anam contrasts the artistry of the past with today’s culture of mass production, inviting us to consider what we have lost – and what we can still reclaim. Free to attend.

Dublin Docklands: A Special Walking Tour

Discover the rich history of Dublin’s Docklands on this bespoke walking tour, offering a fascinating glimpse into the evolution of this vibrant part of the city. This 60-minute guided tour explores key landmarks, from the historic Custom House to the Famine Memorial, and modern icons like the Samuel Beckett Bridge and the Diving Bell, before concluding at the historic CHQ Building and EPIC The Irish Emigration Museum. Runs daily at 1pm from March 14th – 17th.

Irish Language Tour

To honour our native language and celebrate its growing popularity, EPIC is hosting a special Irish language tour on Friday, 14th March at 1pm. Experience the museum as Gaeilge and explore the rich stories of Irish emigration through our national language.

For those looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, our Quiet Room will be available throughout the long weekend. This space offers a calm retreat for anyone who needs a moment away from the museum, including children with autism or visitors who may feel overstimulated. While not a private space, it provides a peaceful environment for those in need of a quiet escape.
