WIN A TRIP TO GAME OF THRONES TERRITORY

The exclusive prize offers fans the chance to visit Northern Ireland, home to more Seven Kingdoms locations than anywhere else in the world

December 07, 2022 – Tourism Ireland and Aer Lingus, the national airline of Ireland, are teaming up to offer a trip for two to visit the real-life filming locations for Game of Thrones in Northern Ireland, including the world’s only official Game of Thrones Studio Tour – located just 90 minutes from Dublin and 35 minutes from Belfast.

The competition is being launched today on Ireland.com in celebration of the first-ever officially licenced Game of Thrones Fan Convention which takes place in Los Angeles from 9-11 December.

Game of Thrones has become part of Northern Ireland’s giant story since filming began there in 2011. Since the series first aired, fans from around the globe have been traveling to the “real-world Westeros” to explore the stunning landscapes, coastlines and mountains that have featured in the show’s most unforgettable scenes.

In early 2022, Northern Ireland welcomed the world’s only Game of Thrones Studio Tour. The 110,000-square-foot interactive experience is located at Linen Mill Studios in Banbridge, where much of the filming of Game of Thrones took place. The experience allows fans to explore a vast array of original sets, costumes, weaponry and props, bringing visitors closer to the Seven Kingdoms than ever before.

As well as tickets to the Game of Thrones Studio Tour, winners of this competition will be treated to  return flights to Dublin from any Aer Lingus USA gateway, and three nights of accommodation in Belfast in a 4-star hotel with a great Northern Ireland breakfast each day. Belfast is within easy reach of many of Northern Ireland’s Game of Thrones filming locations and there is plenty to discover without leaving the city, including the Glass of Thrones walking tour, six stained glass windows commemorating iconic moments from the series which fans can experience while taking in Belfast’s Maritime Mile.

The competition closes on January 10th, 2022.
