15th October 2024 – The island of Ireland was promoted by Tourism Ireland to thousands of Italian travel professionals attending this year’s TTG Travel Experience in Rimini.

Nine companies from Ireland joined Tourism Ireland at TTG Travel Experience – Italy’s main B2B travel show, which was attended by influential tour operators, travel agents and leading Italian travel journalists and bloggers. Over 400 commercial meetings were conducted on the Ireland stand.

Tourism Ireland is highlighting shoulder season short breaks to Cork, Galway, Belfast and Dublin to the travel professionals attending the show – a key message in the organisation’s autumn programme of promotions in Italy. Tourism Ireland is also promoting Halloween as an iconic reason to visit the island of Ireland in autumn.

Marcella Ercolini, Tourism Ireland’s Manager in Italy, said: “Tourism Ireland was delighted to be back at TTG Travel Experience once again this year. Our presence in Rimini provided an excellent opportunity for our partners to engage in around 400 commercial meetings and to spread the word about the many great things to see and do right around the island of Ireland.

“Interest in visiting Ireland remains strong among Italian travellers. We are highlighting shoulder season short breaks to Cork, Galway, Belfast and Dublin. We’re also promoting Halloween as an iconic reason to visit the island of Ireland in autumn to the travel professionals, journalists and bloggers in attendance.”
