A series of panel discussions and interviews also took place at the event, giving insights to attendees on the thoroughbred proposition, culture and people and illustrating why the thoroughbred is such an integral part of the Irish fabric and how Kildare and Tipperary have nurtured their unique identity around this heritage.

Brian O’Flynn, Head of Ireland’s Ancient East at Fáilte Ireland, said:

“This workshop is a great opportunity for the thoroughbred industry to collaborate with tourism colleagues and create experiences that will share the unique thoroughbred stories and culture with visitors. This workshop, attended by many key stakeholders from the tourism and thoroughbred industries in Tipperary and Kildare, heard how the heritage and legacy of the thoroughbred is a hugely significant part of the tourism offering for Kildare and Tipperary and the country.
