The Kilkenny Way Hurling Experience is a unique tour in Ireland

International Visitors have little or no knowledge of our National game and this activity is a great way of teaching them a hands-on experience of our culture and heritage.

We provide a unique Irish cultural experience which is an exciting insight into the Skills of the Ancient Celtic game which is over 3000 years old.

Here you will visit the Legends Hurling Museum where you will receive an in-depth historical analysis of the history of the GAA and all its great players.

Onwards then to O Loughlin Gaels (home of the famous Kilkenny cats) for a tour of the stadium, and hit the pitch to experience the skills of the clash of the ash and see if have you got what it takes to become a “Kilkenny Cat”

Here you will have hands on experience of hurling. You will learn how to lift, solo, handpass, and strike finishing off with some fun activities such as in penalty shoot-outs, drills etc.

Back then to Lanigans Bar and Restaurant for a meal to watch a game to see the skills you have learnt on the pitch and receive your certificate.

Total duration 2hrs including meal time.
