3000 minutes of music at the Guinness Storehouse this St Patrick’s Festival

The elevated experience at the Home of Guinness will celebrate the best of
modern Irish creative arts over five days with approximately 95 Irish artists, 20
International artists, 855 songs performed, and six different dance styles for
nine-and-a-half hours per day.
Wednesday 28th February: For this year’s St Patrick’s Festival, the Guinness Storehouse
is Bringing on the Good Times and celebrating the best of modern Irish music, art,
food, and entertainment with a traditional twist at the World’s Leading Visitor
Attraction.


From March 14th -18th, the Home of Guinness will open its doors to visitors from all over
the world to come and enjoy a taste of world class, modern Irish sociability and culture
featuring performances from over 100 artists.

This year’s line-up of entertainment is bigger than ever and encapsulates the electric
and modern sounds of traditional Irish music today. Five headline acts, one performing
each day, will take the stage in a dedicated entertainment space, The Gilroy, where
visitors can listen to incredible music, taste beautiful pints of Guinness and Guinness
0.0, and view a gallery of a modern interpretations of famous John Gilroy artworks.
As part of the exciting line-up of music, The Bonnymen will return to the Home of
Guinness after their breath-taking set for Other Voices: Home at the Guinness
Storehouse last year.

One of Ireland’s most innovative acts, Kíla, who blend Irish traditional music with modern rock and world music are bringing their distinctive and ever-evolving sounds to D8 alongside punk-folk band Ispíní na hÉireann and Dublin’s The Len Collective. Visitors will also sample contemporary grooves and rhythms alongside time honoured traditional Irish reels and jigs from mercurial band, Jiggy, ina showcase of Irish music talent that has something for everyone.Dublin artist, Cyan Ryan, is leading a collective of talented local street artists, who are transforming the visitor experience with artwork inspired by the captivating world of Gilroy’s famous characters from the Guinness archives.

The art promises to capture the fun and playful humour that is synonymous with St. Patrick’s Day pageantry whilst
a never-before-seen Gilroy sketch will take on a larger-than-life format to reach new
heights, visible on the Dublin skyline.
An entire floor of the Guinness Storehouse in The Liberties will be dedicated to delicious
Irish-inspired food, inviting visitors to taste a range of dishes featuring world class
produce from across Ireland, whether you’re looking for a quick bite or a three-course
meal.
On March 13th, from 9am-12pm, the Guinness Storehouse, an AsIAm-accredited
attraction, will host a special reduced sensory experience where autistic and sensory-
sensitive individuals will be able enjoy the features within the building with lower
capacities, low sensory entertainment and noise and light reductions.
No trip to the Home of Guinness would be complete without a visit to Gravity Bar to
get the best, panoramic views of Dublin City on Ireland’s favourite bank holiday
weekend. Guests can look out for famous landmarks, including the Wicklow
mountains, Phoenix Park and Howth Head whilst enjoying great pints of Guinness and
pop-up entertainment over-looking the beautiful city.
