~ Millions in Britain to read all about our superb golf and hospitality ~

Millions of golf fans across Britain are set to read all about our world-class golf, following a recent visit by leading British journalists to Northern Ireland. The journalists, who write for media outlets such as The IndependentThe Herald and Golf News Magazine, were here as guests of Tourism Ireland and Tourism NI.

The journalists have been testing their golf skills at the parkland course at Templepatrick Golf Club on Kingfisher Country Estate, the Mussenden Course at Castlerock Golf Club and the Dunluce Links at Royal Portrush – the venue for The Open in 2025. Their itinerary also included exploring the Causeway Coastal Route – taking in the Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge, Ballintoy Harbour and the Giant’s Causeway.

Julie Wakley, Tourism Ireland’s Head of Great Britain, said: “We were delighted to invite this group of journalists to Northern Ireland to experience some of our top courses for themselves. Their articles and online content will reach millions of golf fans – so this visit is a great opportunity to inspire a wide audience of prospective British golf holidaymakers to take their next golf holiday in Northern Ireland.

“Golf is the world’s largest sports-related travel market and Tourism Ireland is working hard to drive home the message that a golfing holiday in Northern Ireland is about much more than a round of 18 holes – the combination of our world-class golf and our unique brand of hospitality plays a key role in attracting golfers from Britain and around the world. We’re also taking every opportunity to highlight the fact that The Open will return to Royal Portrush next year and the Ryder Cup will take place at Adare Manor in 2027.”
