MIKE SKINNER’S ‘THE STREETS’ SET TO HEADLINE OTHER VOICES: HOME AT THE GUINNESS STOREHOUSE

MAHALIA, FIZZ, THE BONNY MEN, MORGANA AND DAGOGO HART WILL ALSO PERFORM AT THE HOME OF GUINNESS THIS NOVEMBER 

9th November 2023: On November 21st, Other Voices: Home at the Guinness Storehouse returns for its fourth instalment featuring a legendary line-up including The StreetsMahaliaFizz, The Bonny Men, Morgana and spoken word artist Dagogo Hart.

Hosted by MayKay, this special gig marks the start of the seasonal celebrations at St. James’s Gate with an intimate and unforgettable evening of songs, stories, and collaborations for audiences at home and worldwide. A limited number of free tickets will be on available on Tuesday 14th November at 12 noon. The show will also be available to stream live online via Othervoices.ie.

 

The Mike Skinner-led musical project The Streets will headline, having recently reunited after a short hiatus. They are returning with a brand new album, a feature film and a long awaited tour across the UK and Ireland, called ‘The Darker the Shadow, The Brighter the Light’.

 

Speaking on the announcement, Mike Skinner said: “Dublin in October was a party so the band are all delighted to be coming back for Other Voices: Home at the Guinness Storehouse. Looking forward to some Guinness tasting and playing live at the home of the Black Stuff”.

Other Voices: Home at the Guinness Storehouse continuously supports and showcases local and emerging talent. Dublin producer and singer-songwriter Orla Gartland and English artist Dodie, who have teamed up with other musical friends to form new band called FIZZ, will take to the stage alongside The Bonny Men, one of Ireland’s most exciting traditional Irish music groups hailing from Dublin. Nigerian-born, Dubin-based poet Dagogo Hart will deliver a bespoke spoken-word piece on the evening.

Also making the trip to St. James’s Gate is R&B vocalist and songwriter, Mahalia. The three times Mobo winner, Brit and Grammy award nominee will take the stage at Other Voices: Home, seven years after her first live televised performance at St. James’ Church, Dingle. Mahalia said: “I love performing in Dublin, there is something so special about the energy and I always feel so at home here. Other Voices have been a part of my music life for a little while now and I am so grateful for all of the opportunities they have given to me already! To perform at the Guinness Storehouse with such an incredible line-up of acts is so exciting and I can’t wait!”

 

Rounding out the incredible line-up is Morgana, half of synth-pop duo Saint Sister who is now out on her own, touring her solo project in Dublin, London and New York. Other Voices: Home at the Guinness Storehouse will be Morgana’s first recorded performance.

This promises to be a memorable night reflecting the song, sounds and stories of home to audiences across Ireland and around the world.”

Other Voices: Home at the Guinness Storehouse takes place live and online on Tuesday 21st November at 7.30pm. The intimate performances will stream globally via Other Voices and Guinness Storehouse’s social media channels. A limited number of free tickets go live on www.guinness-storehouse.com at 12pm on Tuesday 14th November.
